Uma
UMA –
Uma is our “Bossy Aussie” that we adopted from the Greenhill Humane Society in Eugene, Oregon. Now seven years of age, she was 4 months old and the last of her litter to be adopted. Her shelter name was Diamond and her picture on Petfinder.com looked exactly like one of Ursula’s baby pictures and they said she might be a Newfy mix. Nope. Fairly evident she has some herding lineage (likes to nip at Yaz and Angel’s ankles when she's excited) and possibly some bird dog in her. She has an underbite, will gaze adoringly into your eyes forever, and broke her leg the month after I let the free pet insurance expire a month after we adopted her. She was our best skijor dog and loves the snow! Last year she had cruciate ligament surgery so no more skijoring for her.
