| Schedule
Training/Consulting: We have on-going groups and lessons forming all the time. Give us your parameters of days and times that work for you and we can try to form a class around that or work individually with you and your dog. Group classes are usually very small so you get a lot of individual attention for your concerns. Call us and we'll see what we can do!
Boarding/Daycare: Email or call us for availability (chelandog@frontier.com or 509-682-2959). Since we operate from our home and everything is on a tight schedule, it does not work for folks to "just swing by" for a visit or hoping to drop-off their dog on the spur of the moment. If we are out with the dogs, we are unable to meet with you while they are out for safety purposes. All comings/goings are scheduled so we are able to have a home life to ourselves as well. Though we try to be accommodating for drop-off and pick-up times, they must not overlap with others since all dogs are put up for safety whenever someone is coming/going so we can talk to you and meet your dog in relative calmness and quiet without the other dogs trying to join us.
It is imperative that once a drop-off or pick-up time is scheduled, that you make every effort to be on-schedule. We realize stuff happens, but as soon as you realize you'll not be on time, you must call to let us know and renegotiate a new time. Unfortunately, we will be adding a late fee to folks who are more than 10 minutes late without letting us know ahead of time and rescheduling. (For example, if you are scheduled to drop-off at noon, coming from Seattle, and know it's a 3.5 hour drive from your house to ours, and it's 9 am and you've not left yet - you will not be on time and must call immediately to let us know. Calling at 12:30 to inform us will incur a late fee - dogs were already put up and waiting to play and we know you're late by then, anyway. We also may have scheduled lunch or dinner with family & friends based upon the agreed upon time.)
Email is best for communicating as we're often outside with dogs or running errands while the dogs rest and playing phone tag can be frustrating. We will try to get back to you within 24 hours. It's best to reserve in advance for any extended stays, for weekends, if you have multiple dogs, or if you need daycare on weekends, especially during the summer when we're booked a week out. Even if we have room for a dog for daycare or boarding, we will not be able to without written proof from a veterinarian of vaccinations or if your dog does not meet all the boarding criteria. Please make sure your dog's vaccines haven't expired before contacting us, including the bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine. It is preferred that you or your vet email your pet's vaccination record to chelandog@frontier.com in advance of your dog's visit, in case there is anything that needs to be clarified or done. Showing up without records, especially on weekends when most vets are closed, can ruin your plans when we have to decline to board your dog. The health and safety of our dogs and the other campers is our top priority.
